Our Mission

CONTACT the Crisis Line is an interfaith telephone ministry to troubled callers. The ministry’s hallmarks are the compassion, respect, and nonjudgmentalism its trained volunteers show callers, confidentiality, anonymity, and availability at no charge twenty-four hours a day.

The Crisis Line serves principally within the Jackson local dialing area and the Pike County and Warren County areas, but receives calls from across Mississippi and beyond. The Crisis Line serves all callers without regard to residence, race, color, age, gender, religion, beliefs, faith, values, sexual orientation, national origin, physical or emotional handicap, or any such category or condition.

CONTACT the Crisis Line is a fully-accredited affiliate of CONTACT USA and of Lifeline International, and is a member in good standing of the American Association of Suicidology. CONTACT the Crisis Line is not affiliated with any one religious body, but works to extend their ministries.
